Mississauga is More Than a Sea of Houses

The funny thing about Mississauga is that for being the 6th largest city in Canada, it still has the reputation as the burbs; a place where everyone lives in monster homes, drives minivans and has to commute out of town to go to work.
Well, if you’ve lived here over the past 30 years and have had a chance to travel to other parts of this great country, you’ll know that Mississauga is one of the most diverse, interesting cities in all of Canada.
To help bolster the image as Mississauga as more than just a place to hang your hat, the City of Mississauga has launched Mississauga Culture on the Map, an interactive website where users can search for cultural points of interest all over the city such as landmarks, festivals, and public art (to name a few).
I think this is a smart idea by the city to help people find interesting things to do right at home. My only comment is that they should come out with a mobile app!
