Meadowvale’s 40th Anniversary
This year the Community of Meadowvale in north west Mississauga is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Meadowvale is large and diverse community, with the majority of Meadowvale’s growth occurring in the 1970’s and 80’s. Meadowvale is a quiet neighbourhood, with tree lined streets that are mature- unlike many of the nearby newer communities in Mississauga. Meadowvale is also known for it’s large business park located along Mississauga Rd near highway 401.
Some of the events to mark the 40th anniversary of Meadowvale include a photo contest, the creation of a commemorative quilt, a mural to be created by local high school students at Lake Aquitaine and the new Welcome to Meadowvale Sign that was recently installed at the corner of Winston Churchill Blvd and Britannia Rd W.
