On January 13th, The Rotary Club of Mississauga Meadowvale welcomed Laureen Harper to give a talk on Child and Maternal Health. It was great speech where Mrs. Harper shared Canada’s progress on global efforts to reduce infant mortality rates in vulnerable countries around the world.

After the speech we had the privilege of inducting Mrs. Harper as a Lifelong Honorary Member of the Meadowvale ROTARY Club and awarded Mrs. Harper a Paul Harris Fellowship for her dedication to animal rights, the arts and the numerous other charities she supports.

While we normally host our meetings at the Delta Hotel in Meadowvale, in order to accommodate all of the extra guests, we held this meeting at the Mississauga Convention Centre. We were very pleased with the turnout, and also welcomed our new Mayor Bonnie Crombie.
