Clarkson Village Living

One area in Mississauga that I’ve always had a soft spot for is Clarkson Village. One of the reasons I like Clarkson Village so much is that it has a bit of everything that Mississauga has to offer, and it isn’t as “cookie cutter” as some of the other areas of the city.
The heart of Clarkson Village runs along Lake Shore Rd W, from Southdown road to past Meadow Wood road in the east. Along this stretch of Lakeshore Rd you will find restaurants, shopping and interesting local businesses. If you live close to Clarkson Village you can actually walk to shopping and ammenities, something that is a challenge in most parts of the city. Sticking with the car free theme, there is a Go Train Station in Clarkson where you can jump on a train and be in downtown Toronto in 20 minutes, whether it’s for work or an evening out on the town.
In the past 10 years, the demand for real estate in Clarkson Village has grown tremendously. People want to live near Clarkson Village because of easy Go Train access and also the village feel that Clarkson gives you. In Mississauga, there are not very many areas that have a “village feel” and as always, you will pay more money to have this feeling. If you are thinking of areas to live in south Mississauga, I would highly recommend you consider Clarkson, you may be pleasantly surprised!
